In the Good Old Summertime

Once upon a time, summer was when life slowed down.
This summer, on the other hand, I find myself busier than ever.
I’ve started a second part-time job. It’s only 10 hours a week, but it’s the first job I’ve had in 20 years that actually requires me to be in a certain place at a [...]

Lesson Learned

We let BD go away with a friend’s family for a few days.  We’ve met the mother before, but I’ll confess we don’t know them all that well.  We do like the daughter, so we figured it was all right to let BD go.

Oh. My. Goodness.

We attended a wedding this evening. The bride has been a friend of HS since kindergarten. In fact, this is the first time we’ve attended the wedding of one his friends.
Not too surprisingly, HS and his girlfriend opted to sit with a bunch of his high school friends instead of his parents and [...]

The Sky is Falling!

Not really, but the Amazon website seems to be down, which amounts to practically the same thing.
