Thank Goodness It’s Finally Over

Rumor has it that Hollywood writers were on strike for three months and people were getting upset because there were no new episodes of their favorite shows

I can’t say it really impacted my world. My TV viewing is more affected by the unfortunate addition of ESPNU, which airs a lot of games I would like to watch. Having been grandfathered in to a terrific old cable plan that is no longer available, we would have to double our monthly cable bill to move up to a tier which includes it.

I will be watching one regular network show this weekend, however. Back in November, I wrote about a new home being built in Louisville. You can see it on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition this Sunday.

I might have to record that, we’ll be at a volleyball tourney (and of course, have the afternoon wave, so play doesn’t begin until 3:00). I did watch last Sunday, when the Iraq Vetran, who’d lost a leg, and had become a single parent to 4 young kids, got a new home. I have to admit, tears flowed freely!

The only show I miss is Pushing Daisies. I hear it will return, but not until the fall. SIGH.
