Uber-recycling

My mother-in-law crocheted a tote bag for BD’s birthday. Looks nice, doesn’t it?

Believe it or not, the bag is made from plastic grocery sacks, cut into strips.

With the current trend of taking reusable bags to the supermarket, I’m thinking these are an especially appropriate kind to use.

If I knew how to crochet, I’d be downloading a pattern here and making some for myself.

    Wow! That’s impressive! How did she color the bags (or are they simply the brown ones?). What a way to recyle!

    Very Nice! There are far too many bags filling up the landfills. I think it is time for BD to learn crochet. She could make a bundle on these at school when the kids get a load of her cool new bag…
