Class Acts

As I type, Cal Ripken, Jr. and Tony Gwynn, Sr. are being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

These two men were phenomenal players, but their off-field actions and attitudes are just as admirable.  I find it fitting that there are no other inductees to stand on the podium with them.

It’s a great day for baseball.

I had that same thought…both of these men were (and are) good role models, hard workers, good sportmen, and more dedicated to their fans than to getting product endorsements, etc. I don’t think we have many of their like left and it’s so appropriate that they were honored together. I wish I could have been there!

Agreed. They were indeed phenomenal players. I love baseball, of course, my home team is Toronto, so according to most MLB fans, I am having a foreign affair!
