For those who haven’t yet caught on to this fact about me, I am pretty disorganized. This attribute results in way too many trips to the supermarket for a few items.
I made one of those trips today. In my defense, I was actually being a little organized about things this time, as I was passing right by on my way home from other errands and was trying to avoid a weekend run to the store.
As the cashier finished ringing up my six items, the register went wild! It started spitting out coupons like a slot machine paying off. I ended up with ten of them (five of which I will probably actually use).
Perhaps I should have bought a lottery ticket on my way out.

I never seem to get coupons I’ll actually use in those situations…. sigh. Now a lottery payoff, I COULD use!
I only got three today
. I used to get lots more, Tim used to trail them behind him and call them “kites” when they came in a long strip.
I made the mistake of telling my husband that with my new flexible work schedule (I’m telecommuting in the afternoons and Fridays) that I’ll be so much more organized about planning meals.
I’m an idiot.
Seriously, though, I don’t know what it’s like to NOT go to the grocery at least every other day! On a positive note, I live within 5 miles of three stores.
Congrats on the coupon blitz!
