My in-laws are in town, having come down for HS’s graduation.
My father-in-law, an avid fisherman, made his last wishes known to us.
“Don’t ever put me in a home,” he said. “Just prop me up against a tree near the water. When I get too tired to stay upright, I’ll fall in and let the fish have their revenge.”

LOL now that’s recycling and karma all rolled into one! Hi, Michele sent me
Hello from Micheles today.
That’s a good request! Much better than my own Grandmother’s request for us to ‘dig a hole, stand her over it & shoot her into it’ when she was tired & frustrated with her body moving slower than her mind.
You cannot POSSIBLY be the mother of a college graduate (but congratulations anyway).
Michele sent me today and I’m glad she did!
I love the thought! Reminds me of an older country song that goes “prop me up beside the jukebox when I’m gone, Lord I want to go to heaven but I don’t want to go tonight….” Anyway, at least he knows what he wants!
Great attitude!
hello, Michele sent me
That’s funny…and so is Janet’s observation!
Congratulations on the graduate! Michele sent me.
Like the post! First time here. Hello! Here from Michele! She sent me.
He he he thanks for that giggle. I almost snorted my coffee out of my nose
Here via Michele today.
Oh my goodness, I’d love to go fishing with your FIL, sounds as if he’s got a great sense of humor – I snorted my coffee, too – oh, and I’m a regular reader, just lurking around before heading out to Costco ;o)
Congrats on the graduation – btw!
