Why is it that when you’re channel-surfing and come across one of your favorite movies, you stop and watch it on TV, even though you own a copy without commericials and bad editing?

I think there’s something cathartic about stumbling into an old movie. It’s like you found it, and now you are compelled to enjoy the moment.
It takes me back to a time when we didn’t time-shift everything on TV, when the television schedule ensured we enjoyed whatever shows we watched together.
Not anymore…
I am doing that right now….Steal Magnolias…. I can’t help it.
