2007 in Preview

Here’s what the Bluegrass Family is anticipating for 2007.

January: BD turns 12 on the 10th.  Sleepover to follow.  No alcohol for the kids, of course, but a little may be prescribed for the adults in the house.

February: A trip to Nashville to visit HS and take in a little college hoops.

March:  Mr. B heads to Florida for his annual spring scouting trip for his fantasy baseball league.

April: I have a birthday.  One more year till I can join The Red Hat Society.

May: HS graduates from college.  Amazing, since I’m sure he just started kindergarten.

June: The annual family camping trip to North Carolina.

July: HS turns 22.

August: BD starts 7th grade.  This year we shouldn’t need to call in a consultant to explain the middle school schedule to us.  HS is either preparing for grad school or to spend a year teaching English in Austria.

September: Mr. B and I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.  And we’re even still in love!

October: BD spends the entire month planning her Halloween costume.

November: For once I get the turkey completely defrosted before Thanksgiving and don’t have to dig out the giblets with an ice pick.

December: I write my annual year in review blog entry by putting in a link to this post.

What a great idea for a post or simply just to do! Gives a nice focus on the year ahead. We just had our 26th last July and it seems like we’re just newly married! (Maybe that’s because we have no kids so it seems like we’re still sorta dating!?)

Happy New Year! Haven’t visited for a long time!

I had no idea there was an AGE for the Red Hat Society.

Ruth, We have 2 kids, so dating is still an “occasion.” Glad you still feel newly married after all those years!

Keri, Yup. Gotta be 50. Under that and you can wear a pink hat with lavender. Really.
