To give you a feel for what the year was like, here is the first line from the first post of each month of 2006. If you’d like to read the posts in their entirety, just follow the links.
January: I’ve already been billed for my TurboTax update.
February: When we were growing up, there was one sure way to get our mother’s dander up.
March: It’s a gorgeous, spring-like day here.
April: It’s spring break time here, so of course we’re packing up for our trip.
May: We took BD to a festival at the local high school yesterday.
June: This spring, HS won an award at school.
July: That’s what it takes for a college that charges thousands of dollars in tuition each semester to come up with a $100 “graduation fee” for seniors (who must “apply” to graduate).
August: I got this idea from Empress, who got it elsewhere–you know how these things go.
September: If you do a pedicure at the next-to-last minute before going out, then change your mind about wearing sandals at the very-last minute and opt for pumps and pantyhose instead, when you get home be prepared to peel the hose off your toes, completely destroying aforementioned pedicure. (Ed. note: I put in the link, but this actually was the entire post.)
October: The old blog is feeling kind of empty these days, as I have been too busy to post much.
November: BD went trick-or-treating with the next door neighbors last night.
December: Too bad I didn’t make a bet with Annie about yesterday’s football games!
As you can see, it was another exciting year in the Bluegrass household. We hope yours was wonderful, and that 2007 is even better. Happy New Year!
