Wanted: Missing Blog Posts

I used the WordPress-generated number in the title of my previous post.
I trusted WP to be able to count.
But after it told me that I was writing post #812, I noticed that my dashboard summary tells me that I have 781 posts.
So where are the 22 32 (I can’t count, either) missing posts?  Could they be the ones [...]

Post #812 or Too Dull for a Title

Grocery shopping.
Laundry.
Catching up on paperwork.
How exciting is your day?

He Took Me Out to the Ballgame

The Cincinnati Reds played their last home game of the season on Monday afternoon, so Mr. B & I took a ride up to see the game.  The highlight would have been Ken Griffey Jr.’s pinch hit 3-run homer in the 8th that won the game, except that the little girl who sang “Take Me [...]

Go, Team!

BD’s field hockey team played to a 1-1 tie this afternoon.
That may not seem like big news to you, but in the two years this team has existed, they have lost every. single. game.  In fact, they had only scored in 2 games prior to this one.
So let’s hear it for athletes in skirts!

This is Not a Cat Blog

But I have had a request for an update on Bootsies and Millie.
Good news:

Bootsies is still as adorable as ever.

No more broken Derby glasses
Millie will now simply ignore Bootsies as long as the [...]

Decisions, Decisions…

I’ve been trying to figure out how to replace the spinach in my diet till the E. coli thing blows over.
And it occurred to me that I haven’t seen any warnings about ice cream.

Better Things to Do

Yup.  I’m busy today celebrating 24 years of wedded bliss with my man.

Rematch!

I have on my U of L T-shirt.  Chips and dip await.  HS, home for the weekend, is making a beer run for us (he doesn’t actually like beer himself, but I think he likes the idea of getting carded, since he looks about 17).
We are ready for our Cardinals to take on Miami.
No one here has [...]

Wake-up Call

Splish!  Splash!
The sound of water in the bathroom woke me up in the middle of the night.  Dripping?  Splashing?  I thought maybe Mr. B was in there for a minute, but then my groggy mind realized that he was still in bed, too.
I remembered that he had done some work on the toilet a couple of weeks [...]

I’m So Old (Fashioned)

Mr. B and I recently went out to dinner at one of those sports bar chain restaurants.
We’ve been there a few times, and always enjoyed it.  What we didn’t realize is that we’ve always gone for lunch, not dinner.  They were blasting loud music, they didn’t have the Reds game on, and we were surprised at [...]
