I’m a Believer

This morning I was doing the usual multi-tasking household chores.  A few dishes, a couple of bathrooms, a little laundry.  Then I ran some errands.  As I came back in the house, my shoulders sagged as I realized that I still had to get the last load of laundry out of the dryer and fold it.
No one [...]

Empty Nest

It’s only for three days, but BD’s off with her youth group on a local mission trip.
Of course I miss her.
But now that I’ve gotten that requisite (and true) statement out of the way, I’ll also point out that Mr. B and I are making the most of this time.  We’ve already been out for coffee and for a nice dinner, [...]

All Growed Up

My baby boy is 21 today.  In fact, I’m posting this at 3:42 PM, which is when he’ll be EXACTLY 21 years old.

After dinner, she walloped us in Monopoly, so if the cooking thing doesn’t work out, I suppose she could always become a real estate [...]

Listening to the Silence

Here I thought nobody liked me anymore, but there seems to be a problem with the comments function.  So just hold that thought and try again later.
Update:  All fixed, so go ahead and holler at me.

Blank Space

There is NOTHING on my calendar today, having decided to let BD miss swim practice since she has a meet tomorrow and Saturday.  I can’t tell you the last time this happened.
On top of that, it’s an absolutely gorgeous day.
A day obviously meant to be spent catching up on housework and laundry, right?
Or not.

Chutzpah

That’s what it takes for a college that charges thousands of dollars in tuition each semester to come up with a $100 “graduation fee” for seniors (who must “apply” to graduate).
Somehow, refusing to pay it doesn’t seem to be a viable option.
