I love May. It brings sunshine and warm temperatures.
Usually. For the past week or so, we’ve had highs in the upper 50s or low 60s with gray skies. I won’t even discuss the lows, except to say that we’ve made more use of our hot tub than we usually do this time of year. Let’s just say it’s cold enough to turn the heat back on in the house.
Except that I’ve dug in my heels and refused to do it. Maybe I’m too cheap trying to protect the environment. Besides, by the end of the day the house is usually approaching 68 degrees.
HS, who’s home for a few days before leaving for his summer job, is used to being able to control the temperature in his dorm room without worrying about the financial consequences. He seems to be adjusting okay, though. I found him in his room today, wrapped in his comforter while he read a book.

Brrr…
I did break down and turn the heat Sunday night because both girls were sniffly. What is going on with our weather? I’m ready for hot temps! It’s 62 right now in Nashville.
Perfect temps! Your place sounds beautiful and looks so too from the heading picture. Do you have horses? Do you go to the Derby?
Well, it does sound like a beautiful place to live! Every place has its charm! We live in a little town in Ontario in the middle of potato country, and yet only an hour from the big city of Toronto. Perfect for us!
Yes, Toronto is a neat city with so much to do. Very eclectic place with different pockets of ethnicity in the various regions! You can easily get a taste of Italian, Chinese, and Caribean (sp?)withing a short drive. I’ve been through Upper State NY and it’s gorgeous, especially in the fall! A nice place to have grown up! Can anyone tell me the reason why they call NYC, The Big Apple? I’ve been wanting to know this for a long time!
