She was in 7th grade. Bright, perky, responsible, and right around the corner. The obvious choice for one of our first babysitters when we moved here fifteen years ago.
Now she teaches school herself and is married to another teacher.
And this morning she had a baby girl.
I’m happy for them all. Really. But I’d be rejoicing more if the whole thing didn’t make me feel so darned old.

I understand! It dawned on me earlier this week that next year is my 20-year high school reunion. No way I am that old. ACK!
It just seems to go faster and faster.
I hear ya! I know just how you feel….
It’s also sad when your mom calls to tell you someone you babysat when you were in high school got married/had babies! And they were babies when you babysat them! Doesn’t help that my “baby” just turned 14!
Time just flies by, doesn’t it?!?!?
Funny how that happens, isn’t it?! Found your blog through blondemomblog, love it!
