Christmas Spirit

Yesterday I had to go to the supermarket, since I’d forgotten my list when I went the day before and still needed a few things.

When I got there, I couldn’t find the list I knew I had brought.

It was senior citizen’s day.

It was panic-in-the-streets-because-they’re-predicting-snow-day, too.

And you know what? I still came out of there smiling. I love this season of the year!

You’re a tough cookie, BGM! Did you have to elbow anyone to get the last gallon of milk?

I’m the same way, humming Christmas caroles, not letting much get to me! Did you find your list?

You know something, I’ll never understand that panic shopping before the great snow storm. What. Are we all going to STARVE because of too much snow? I can see buying sand, salt, candles and water, but unless you have a completely empty refridgerator and would just like to have a couple lunches in there, why does everyone need to cram into the store and buy every loaf of bread and gallon of milk off the shelf? Apparently these people will parish if they dont have enough food to get through a whole day of not being able to drive on the road.

You’re a much better person than me. I try to stay away from the store when it’s senior citizens day…they all write checks…slowly…and balance their registers…before they give them to the cashier.

Yes, you’re a better, much more patient person than me!
