Krogering

I went to Kroger today to do my grocery shopping. As I was leaving, I had an uneasy feeling that something was missing. I’d bought everything on my list (plus a few things). I had my car keys. I even still had my coupon organizer AND had remembered to use the coupons.

Then it hit me. I hadn’t seen a single person I knew there.

We used to live in a small town. You couldn’t go anywhere without running into someone you knew. It wasn’t bad, except when I was in a hurry.

You must live in a very small town to expect to meet people you know everytime you hit the grocery store. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone I know in months! And I almost always go to the same store. (and I like it that way)

Michele sent me ’cause I’m antisocial and can relate to your post.

I rarely see anyone at the store, if I’m shopping “in town”….now if I go to our local “market”, the chances are *very* high I’ll see someone I know.

I’m always surprised if I see someone I know. Usually I hope that I don’t. I like to get in and get out. I don’t need to chit-chat with Jane on the ketchup aisle.
