New Neighbors

Don’t you hate it when you don’t realize that someone’s moved into your neighborhood until they’re about to move out?

We only discovered this robin’s nest on our garage downspout on Sunday, and by Monday the fledgings had already flown the coop. We’ll be watching out for a second nesting in a month or two.

Right “next door” and you didn’t even notice them! How sweet!

How fun to have a bit of nature like that so close to your house!

I never get there in time to see fledglings, either, just the leftover eggshells. Hope mama sticks around for the next round!

One of the many things I love about spring!!

Nothing like a cute, quiet neighbor!

I have wrens moving into a silly terracotta house that we’ve had hanging outside for years. This is the first time any bird has ever attempted moving in! It’s so exciting!!!

Our first nest full of peewhees are getting ready to leave the nest. I wonder if we’ll get two more batches or only one this year?
