Buzz has decreed it, so it is Blog It Forward Day. The idea is to pick one or more of your favorite reads from your blogroll and explain why they’re so readable. Provide a link to share the wealth, as it were. Obviously, if someone’s on my blogroll, I feel that they’re worth reading. I happen to know that a lot of them read each other already, so I’ve tried to pick a couple that may be a little out of the loop. I’ve chosen a long-time favorite and a relatively new find.
I discovered petite anglaise via Michele (actually, that goes for much of my blogroll). Petite (for short, if you’ll pardon the pun) is an Englishwoman living and working in France. She writes about life in Paris, Mr. Frog (her live-in) and Tadpole (their daughter). Petite is a wonderful writer, and depending on her topic she may make you laugh, cry, or just look at things from a whole new perspective. Having been fluent in French once upon a time, I enjoy the French phrases she sprinkles throughout her posts, but even those who don’t speak the language should be able to keep up. So go say “Bonjour” to Petite!
My new discovery is Paul at Writing From the Hip. Paul is a grandfather from Kansas (Pancake Flats, according to his blog). He is a natural storyteller. While he is not a daily poster, you can check out many stories from his past at his second blog, 1122-7th Street. I just love Paul’s take on life. So go say “Howdy” to Paul–just remember that his comments are a “Cuss-Free Zone.”
