Drawing Straws

I find going to church and celebrating communion on Maundy Thursday to be a very special occasion. However, BD is home with a sore throat, so someone has to miss church tonight to stay home with her.
Ordinarily, we’d be drawing straws and the short one would have to stay home.

On Second Thought…

HS got home safely yesterday. We’ve been having a lovely visit so far. As usual, he stayed up way later than the rest of the family. I’d attribute it to the fact that he’s usually on central time, but it’s really because he’s 19.
However, I woke up to this today.

Perhaps I spoke too soon.
