Every once in awhile you need a good old do-nothing day. This day came close. Mr. B got BD on the schoolbus and I slept in till 10:30. Spent the rest of the day in my sweats, leaving the premises only to drop BD off for swim team carpool. If only Mr. B had gone to the office…
But he was at home, hogging the computer for “work” and determined to de-Christmas the house. So now the trees are down, the garland is packed away, and we think we’re finished. I know from experience, though, that one or two decorations will probably appear in February or March. I think they jump out of the box, escape from the attic and come downstairs, but Mr. B says we just miss them the first time around. As if we really wouldn’t notice them for two months. Silly boy.

There is no point in taking down the ornaments- you’re just going to use them again next year.
Should anyone in July ask why the ornaments are up, you can reply they are being used to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, etc.
Or, you can tell them to just go away and have them think youre just crazy. Who wouldn’t believe that?
In Mississippi lots of people keep the artificial tree up and put Mardi Gras decorations on…then Easter….then 4th of July…then Halloween..and then there you have it
CHRISTMAS AGAIN.
Hmmm, I may have to consider just leaving them up next year. Of course, that could be a problem with the real tree we put up in the living room, but what’s a fire hazard compared to the beauty of a Christmas tree?
