Our State Fair is a Great State Fair!

We took BD and a friend to the Kentucky State Fair yesterday. We might have gone the weekend before when it first opened, but it was only about 80 degrees and not very humid. Kentucky state law requires that it be closer to 90 with a heat index pushing 100 for people to attend the state fair.

Well, maybe it’s not a law, but it’s definitely a tradition. And maybe we’d have gone the first weekend if we’d had time. Anyway, we enjoyed it despite the heat. We did learn that refills on the large lemonades are half price. Here’s a picture of one of the most famous sights at the fair–Freddy Farm Bureau. He had a little chat with the girls. My other favorite thing to do at the fair is see the racing pigs. Yup, racing pigs.

Just for you information. LeRoy Peterson, my dad, built Freddy. I have always told people that I had a bigger but younger brother. Glad to know that people are still enjoying seeing and talking to Freddy. thanks
